The four free MCP courses in the order to take them — Anthropic, Hugging Face and Microsoft, four certificates, every link, the catch table, and a 4-week plan
The companion to the reel. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how an AI agent gets its tools, and the people who wrote it, host the models and ship the developer tools each published a free course. ONE — Anthropic Academy, Introduction to Model Context Protocol: free, 16 lectures, 1 hour of video, 1 quiz, certificate of completion; build servers and clients with the Python SDK. TWO — the Hugging Face MCP Course, built in partnership with Anthropic: units 0 to 4 at 3 to 4 hours a week, a deployed app, and two free certificates. THREE — Microsoft's MCP for Beginners: an MIT open-source curriculum, modules 00 to 12, examples in six languages, a 13-lab server path, 17.2k stars, no certificate. FOUR — Anthropic Academy, Model Context Protocol: Advanced Topics: free, 15 lectures, 1.1 hours of video, 2 quizzes, certificate of completion; sampling, notifications, roots, stdio and HTTP transports. PAGE 1 — the four links and how to use the guide. PAGES 2–5 — one page per course: what is inside, how to take it for $0, how the credential is issued, what to skip, and the line to add to your LinkedIn. PAGE 6 — the 4-week plan and the honest catch table (every course assumes a little Python or TypeScript; the Hugging Face page mentions a certification deadline). PAGE 7 — what to do after the fourth certificate: the official SDKs, the Inspector, the reference servers, and one server of your own on a public URL. Facts verified September 14, 2026. Independent guide from Hyperautomation Labs — not affiliated with Anthropic, Hugging Face or Microsoft.
